We've Got It All

Thankfulness is being pounded in to me.

I heard it last Wednesday night.

I heard it on Sunday Morning. Sunday Evening. And again during devotions on Monday in our study through Exodus:

Exodus 16:8
Also Moses said, “This shall be seen when the LORD gives you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the LORD hears your complaints which you make against Him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the LORD.”

Not only are unthankful, complaining and grumbling people just plain not fun to be around,

" being unthankful is a slap in the face towards God and the transformation process He is working in your life RIGHT NOW."
-Pablo Moreno, Engage Truth

We made a thankful list over a steaming hot mocha and caramel macchiato, and trust me, coffee DID make it on the list!

Our Marriage
God overcame some pretty big obstacles to make our dreams come true!

Our Jobs
God has and still continues to provide abundantly.

Family
Really, how could we BOTH come from such loving families? That's huge, people, huge, and I hope we never take it for granted.

2 Running Cars

Church
Try bouncing around for a few weeks and starving yourself spiritually. Then go to a church where the BIBLE is taught. You'll walk away feeling like it's Thanksgiving all over again.

OUR Home
No place we'd rather be.

Healthy Bodies
We have strong healthy bodies to serve the Lord. Now where is it you want us, God?

Carly
Yes, the dog made it on the list. She makes us happy and always brings a smile to TYLER's face.

Sunshine -y Walks
Or even gray walks. Doesn't matter, it's just one of our favorite times.

Coffee
Don't ask. Don't tell. It's a God given addiction.

Tyler is HERE
As we think back to one year ago, when Tyler went to Bible College, it was the HARDEST time we've encountered yet (but still we wouldn't have changed it). Not that Bible College is a thing of the past, it's now just an adventure for our future, if God so wills.

Guidance
This last week we were faced with a decision. A tough one, and we didn't know how we could possibly know what was the right thing to do. But we committed and surrendered it to God, and He made the way clear.

 Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory....

What are you thankful for?

  1. Thankfulness and contentment are twin virtues that make a world of difference in our outlook on everyday life. I am always so amazed when I take the time to be thankful....my perspective changes and I am energized to continue in the progress of faith.

Thanks for writing this. It's a lovely peek into your becoming (and already!) quiet spirit!

  3. Good post Grace! Always a good reminder! :)

I will try not to stress, it does take the fun away doesn't it?? :) We miss you too - you are just not around as much these days... :) We should do coffee or something soon, in Nampa and I could see your house!
